Fikru co-authors book on merger control and environmental policy

Dr. Mahelet Fikru, associate professor of economics, co-authored a book titled Handbook of Merger Control and Environmental Policy: Theory and Applications as part of Springer’s “Natural Resource Management and Policy” series. The book develops an economic framework to examine the relationship between merger and acquisition incentives, merger control, environmental policies and firms’ sustainability practices. The chapters highlight the importance of policy coordination among different agencies to promote market efficiency and environmental protection.
