IT encourages MacOS users to install software using Apps Anywhere rather than jamf Self Service. Apps Anywhere as a single software access solution between Windows and MacOS.

Who is affected? All users with campus-managed computers running MacOS.

Why is this happening? By using Apps Anywhere on computers running MacOS, the software access for MacOS and Windows systems will be more aligned.

What is changing? A shortcut on your dock will be added that will open the Apps Anywhere website. Software will be fully installed on your computer when accessed from Apps Anywhere. Apps Anywhere for MacOS does not use cloud paging in the same way Apps Anywhere for Windows does.

The jamf Self Service is not going to be removed from MacOS computers at this time.
