Information technology (IT) encourages MacOS users to install software using MacOS users to install software using AppsAnywhere rather than Jamf Self Service. MacOS users to install software using AppsAnywhere as a single software access solution between Windows and MacOS

Who is affected?

All users with campus-managed computers running MacOS.

Why is this happening?

By using MacOS users to install software using AppsAnywhere on computers running MacOS, the software access for MacOS and Windows systems will be more aligned.

What is changing?

A shortcut on your dock will be added that will open the AppsAnywhere website. The software will be fully installed on your computer when accessed from AppsAnywhere. AppsAnywhere for MacOS does not use Cloudpaging in the same way AppsAnywhere for Windows does.

The Jamf Self Service is not going to be removed from MacOS computers at this time.
