Events and hospitality management launches new website, reservation fee structure

The events and hospitality management staff is excited to announce the launch of its new website, designed to improve your experience with planning events on campus. This website will simplify navigation of S&T’s venues, streamline reservation submissions, and provide comprehensive event planning resources.

Starting Sept. 1, Missouri S&T is introducing a new fee structure for reservations at the Havener Center and Innovation Lab, similar to processes in place at Leach Theatre, Gale Bullman Building and Hasselmann Alumni House. This change ensures equitable access to our campus spaces and promotes a balanced approach to fiscal responsibility.

Key Updates:

  • Fee Structure: A charge will be applied for internal department reservations, significantly lower than the charges for external customers. This supports S&T’s commitment to maintaining high-quality services while covering operational costs.
  • Large Auditoriums: Reservations of large auditoriums in academic buildings will incur a $15 fee per reservation.
  • MoCode Requirement: Starting Monday, July 22, all departments will input their MoCode when reserving space. However, fees will not be charged until Sept. 1. Departments will receive a cost estimate upon reservation confirmation, and charges will be applied after the event.

These updates streamline reservations, ensure fair access to campus spaces, and improve overall space management.
