2024-25 Staff Council officers and members announced

Staff Council represents and promotes the best interests of S&T staff, helps to build a positive working relationship with the campus community and works to provide effective communication between staff and leaders.

Staff Council’s next meeting will be held 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, via Teams. It is open to all staff, faculty and students to attend. You do not have to be a member of Staff Council to attend the meeting or to participate in most of the committees.

The following staff members have been appointed officers on Staff Council for the 2024-25 term:

  • President – Kevin Walkup, academic advisor for chemical and biochemical engineering.
  • Vice president – Mark Evans, business support specialist for student involvement.
  • Secretary – Chyna Howell, senior program manager for the Student Success Center.
  • Treasurer – Cyndi Kinder, business support specialist for education.
  • Past president – Jackie Sansone, assistant director of business administration for fiscal services.

In addition to the officers, the following staff members will serve on Staff Council for the 2024-25 term:

  • Glen Cargile, senior enrollment advisor for the registrar.
  • LuTrisha Decker, Clery and compliance specialist for the University Police.
  • Dr. Greg Edwards, senior strategic communications consultant for marketing and communications.
  • Tricia Helton-George, business operations associate for business and information technology.
  • Sami Holt, office support assistant for student involvement.
  • Tera Humphrey, senior educational program coordinator for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
  • Tracy Krygiel, senior counselor for well-being.
  • Divina Leyba, business support specialist for the registrar.
  • Cassie Liscombe, senior finance and accounting specialist for the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education.
  • Brittney Meyer, business support specialist for well-being.
  • Missy Millspaugh, assistant director of regional recruitment for admissions.
  • Jason Newton, academic advisor for computer science.
  • Ramona Nicewaner, senior business operations associate for sponsored programs.
  • Paige Puhrmann, conference assistant for Havener Center.
  • Justin Rauls, assistant director of transfer admissions.
  • Patty Reising, housing services specialist for residential life.
  • Amanda Schlegel, office support assistant for the Energetic Materials, Rock Characterization and Geomechanics Research Center. 
  • James Slone, manager of student support services for international student and scholar service.
  • Brittany Thompson, director of events and hospitality management for Finance and Operations.
  • Austin Wall, support systems administrator for information technology.
