All students, faculty and staff are required to receive prior approval to travel internationally on behalf of the university, which follows the U.S. Department of State recommendations.

Students traveling internationally are required to get approval from their department chair, college dean and provost for countries designated a level 1-4 risk. All students must register their travel on the new S&T travel registry platform.

Faculty and staff are required to get approval from their department chair and college dean for countries designated a level 1-2 risk. Faculty and staff are required to get approval from their department chair, college dean and provost for countries designated a level 3-4 risk. Missouri S&T’s faculty and staff travel registry platform is being developed and you will be notified when it opens for registration.

If you are not employed by an academic department or college, you will need approval from the administrative leader of your office using the departmental travel authorization form. You do not need approval from a dean.

More information about U.S. Department of State travel advisory levels, processes, procedures and travel forms can be found on S&T’s International Travel website.
