Updates for the S&T community
The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Rhonda Barner, a former testing center coordinator for accessibility and testing. She started at S&T working in the international affairs office from 2014 to 2016 and then worked in the Testing Center from 2021 to 2024. Rhonda was the wife of Terry Barner, a senior video producer at S&T.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Greentree Christian Church, located at 800 Greentree Road in Rolla. A visitation will be held before the service, beginning at noon.
Members of Missouri S&T student well-being counseling staff are available to assist students affected by Barner’s passing. Students who wish to seek counseling services may contact the office by calling 573-341-4211, emailing wellbeing@mst.edu or making an appointment by clicking “Schedule a Screening” at wellbeing.mst.edu/services.
Faculty or staff may seek services via the UM System’s Employee Assistance Program or any of the well-being resources available to employees. Additional details are available at wellbeing.mst.edu.
