Master’s students in civil engineering, Sadeq Annooz and Eric Williams, presented at the 16th International Fiber Reinforced Polymer Reinforcement Concrete Structures Conference held in New Orleans. The conference had more than 400 registered attendees, a record-setting number of participants from 19 countries.
Annooz and Williams presented two technical posters titled “Study of Bond Behavior of BFRP Rebars in Conventional Concrete” and “Comparative Study on Bond Behavior of FRP Bars to Anti-corrosion-coated Reinforcing Materials.” Both students were recognized at the conference’s reception for their excellence in the event. They are advised by Dr. John J. Myers, professor of civil engineering and director of the Missouri Center for Transportation Innovation.
Missouri S&T and the Missouri Center for Transportation Innovation were sponsors of the international conference.
