Bridgette Betz will become senior director of student financial services on June 1. Student financial services is the merger of financial assistance and cashier’s offices to streamline S&T’s financial services for students. The merger also will be effective June 1.
Betz joined the S&T student financial assistance staff in 2005 and was named director in 2013. She became a certified financial aid administrator in 2019, and she participates in state, regional and national financial aid associations, where she holds elected and committee chair positions. She has advocated for financial aid programs and college access for students in Missouri and nationally.
The integration of student financial assistance and the cashier’s office marks a strategic initiative to streamline operations and provide a more cohesive and student-centric approach to financial assistance, billing and support services. By consolidating these essential functions, S&T is ready to meet the diverse needs of students and provide seamless support throughout their academic careers.
This new office will report to David Spivey, vice provost of enrollment management, to align enrollment goals and strategies. There will also be a dotted line to Alysha O’Neil, vice chancellor for finance and operations, to maintain strong financial management and collection functions.
