The arts, languages, and philosophy department will present its spring jazz ensemble concert and a student-led music ensemble showcase this week.
The jazz ensemble concert, directed by Dr. Kyle Wernke, will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, in Leach Theatre. The student-led jazz combo will perform pre-concert music starting at 6:30 p.m.
The student-led music ensemble showcase will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in Leach Theatre. The ensembles featured in the concert include the saxophone choir, jazz combo, movie music ensemble, video game music ensemble, woodwind choir, trumpet choir, and percussion ensemble.
The student-led music ensemble showcase is free to attend, and no tickets are required.
Tickets for the jazz ensemble concert are $5 for the public and free to youth ages 18 and under and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased from the Leach Theatre Box Office from 6-7 p.m. the day of the concert. Tickets can also be purchased in advance online at leachtheatre.mst.edu or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online.
