The Kummer Center for STEM Education will host approximately 800 elementary students on campus on Tuesday, May 14, for an outreach event named “May the 14th Be With You.” The purpose of this outreach event is to ignite young minds to the possibilities of STEM and bring students to S&T for their first college visit.
Organizers seek activities to engage with these students. Activities do not need to be complicated; everything we do has STEM involved. For example, think about the physiology and physics behind kicking a ball. To offer an activity, tour, or demo, sign up online.
Volunteers are also needed to assist with managing the day. With 800 students on campus, it takes many hands to make the day successful. Are you able to help? If so, sign up online.
