The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence is excited to integrate a tool that will enhance the learning experience for faculty and students. This summer, Missouri S&T will pilot a syllabus creation and management software that connects directly with Canvas. It is named Simple Syllabus.

What is Simple Syllabus?

Simple Syllabus is a syllabus generator. Advantages include getting updated university-level notifications included in the syllabus template each semester, integration of the course-level learning objectives, and integration within Canvas. Your syllabus can be created inside Canvas without the need to download or upload documents. The syllabus incorporates all the assignments, quizzes and other date-specific events to easily create a semester schedule. It is also easy to copy your syllabus from one semester to the next.

A faculty and staff committee have collaborated to create a master template for Missouri S&T. Committee members worked hard to keep the template as flexible as possible to meet multiple course needs. Additionally, we will have the ability to create new templates that are college-, department- and program-specific, depending on faculty needs.
