On a sunny day at Lions Club Park and Den Rolla, Missouri, members of the Bangladeshi Student Association (BSA) at Missouri S&T came together on Sunday, April 14, 2024, to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr 1445 and Bangla New Year 1431 in a vibrant and joyous event.

Following a spiritually enriching month of Ramadan, BSA members gathered to mark the end of the holy month with Eid Al-Fitr celebrations. The event took on an even more festive atmosphere as it coincided with the arrival of Bangla New Year 1431, adding an extra layer of color and joy to the occasion.

The celebration featured a diverse array of activities and offerings, including traditional Bangladeshi foods prepared to perfection, ensuring a culinary delight for all attendees. Additionally, traditional games were organized for children and adults, adding an element of fun and excitement to the festivities. Amidst the picturesque surroundings of Lions Club Park, the event encapsulated the essence of Eid and Bangla New Year, with members coming together to foster unity, camaraderie, and cultural pride.

As the day unfolded, laughter filled the air, and bonds of friendship were strengthened, echoing the spirit of togetherness. Through their spirited festivities, BSA members presented the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh while also spreading harmony and happiness among all who joined in the celebrations. Special guest Kirk Davis, who had worked in Bangladesh with a US Medical Team in 1976, graced the event with his presence and shared his inspiring experiences. His heartfelt words emphasized the importance of humanity, encouraging everyone towards enlightenment.

The event organized by BSA of Missouri S&T served as a testament to the power of community and cultural diversity, highlighting the vital importance of celebrating shared traditions and values. As the day drew to a close, attendees departed with hearts full of memories to cherish, eagerly anticipating the festivities to come in the years ahead.
