Dr. Jenny Liu co-chaired the TriDurLE 2024 Annual Symposium on Feb. 25-27, 2024, in College Station, Texas (https://tridurle.wsu.edu/tridurle-symposium-2024/ ). She and her group attended and presented their research during the symposium.
Drs. David Wang and Jenny Liu gave talks entitled An Efficient and Explainable Ensemble Learning Model for Asphalt Pavement Condition Prediction Based on LTPP Dataset and A Machine Learning-Based Approach to Assess Impacts of Autonomous Vehicles on Pavement Roughness in one of the technical sessions on Asphalt Pavements. Three PhD students (Chuanjun Liu, Bo Lin, and Ping Jiang) demonstrated their work through poster presentations. Chuanjun was awarded First Prize in the Student Poster Competition for his poster on laboratory and field modulus measurement of Missouri coarse-grained soils using Zorn lightweight reflectometers, and Ping, teaming with another two students from Texas State University, received First Prize in the Student Solution Driven Competition for their work on Reduction of Heat Absorption of a Pavement.
