Supercomputing training

To kick off the introduction of S&T’s newest high-performance computing (HPC) cluster, information technology’s research support solutions team will host a supercomputing training event on Tuesday, April 2, in St. Pat’s Ballroom B in the Havener Center and on Zoom. “The Mill” is the name of the new cluster.

To RSVP and for more information, visit itrss.mst.edu/training-event/

By reserving your spot, the team can ensure that you have the necessary access to follow along. In-person attendees will receive assistance throughout the workshops, so please bring your own computer.

The day will begin at 9 a.m. with “What is HPC/The Mill?” Everyone on campus is invited to join and learn about high-performance computing and S&T’s new cluster. Starting at 10 a.m., session topics are for prospective, new and existing users and include getting started with HPC, teaching with “The Mill”, tools and strategies for using “The Mill” and migrating your workflow from “The Foundry” to “The Mill”.

This event and general usage of “The Mill” is free to faculty, students and staff. Acknowledgment is required in publications and other works developed using “The Mill”.
