In the final stages of construction, Logan Dietz, a junior in engineering management and the former Residence Hall Association president, took the initiative to develop an informative competition to educate S&T students about the Innovation Lab. Collaborating with the Residence Hall Association, Student Council, design and construction management, events and hospitality, and dining services, Dietz led a trivia contest focused on the Innovation Lab’s creation. This contest put students’ construction knowledge to the test as they were asked questions covering topics from determining the number of geothermal wells to remembering where the student-signed beam was placed within the building.

Iain Grissett, a junior in computer science, placed first winning $100 in MinerBucks. Ryan Pregmon, a sophomore in architectural engineering, placed second and received $50 in MinerBucks. Ami Kleffner, a junior in mechanical engineering, placed third and received $25 in MinerBucks. As a bonus, each winner was rewarded with ten free coffees and exclusive S&T Store swag.
