Ashley Newton

Ashley Newton is a business operations associate for CEC. She has worked at S&T for 7.5 years.

What do you most enjoy about working at Missouri S&T?
The best part of working at S&T is the community. This past year, I am grateful to work somewhere that supports me not only professionally, but also personally.

What is your proudest accomplishment while working here?
My proudest accomplishment is the creation of the CEC service center. Latesha Zach and I were tasked with this in 2021.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new CEC staff member?
New staff members should always carry a notepad and pen. Be ready to take notes and ask questions.  The only bad question is one that is never asked.

What advice would you have for a struggling student?
Struggling students should reach out for help. There are a variety of resources available at S&T to assist in any area you may be struggling in.

What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?
People would be surprised to learn that I play bingo with my mom every Tuesday.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
My superpower would be time travel. Then I could go back in time and hug my husband and son any time I wanted to.
