Closet with professional attire

Career Opportunities and Employer Relations offers their Career Closet to students who need professional dress.

$50,607

That is the total retail value of the free professional dress that career opportunities and employer relations (COER) provided to our students last semester. Setting high standards but ensuring our students have the resources to meet them is what we do here at S&T. From free wellness resources to the student emergency fund, to expert tutoring, this campus is constantly helping to remove or reduce barriers. COER proudly makes the effort to ensure that every student who needs professional dress has that need met.

This is where you come in.

If you have untouched professional dress in the back of your closet, please consider donating it to COER, located on the third floor of Norwood Hall. It is a small effort on your part, but it can make all the difference in a student’s confidence going into a networking or interview setting. If you haven’t seen our ‘Career Closet’ please ask for a tour while you are here. Sara Mitchell, career advisor, and the COER team, have spent countless hours curating this extraordinary resource for our students.

Also, in the vein of high standards, the Spring Career Fair is scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, and currently has 323 companies registered, up 16% from this time last year. (+66% from this time in 2022)
