Dr. Jossalyn M. Gale, assistant professor of English and technical communication, has been appointed director of S&T’s Writing and Communication Center, formerly known as the Writing Center.
In 2014, Gale joined S&T as a senior library information specialist and assisted Roger Weaver, associate dean of libraries, in developing Scholar’s Mine. In 2016, she received her Ph.D. in English literature from Saint Louis University and later became a professor of English and technical communication. Gale’s research focuses on writing pedagogy, primarily concerning students at STEM institutions.
Gale served as interim director of the Writing Center in 2017 and is enthusiastic about developing the center into its new iteration as the S&T Writing and Communication Center.
The Writing and Communication Center will move to the second floor of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library this spring.
