Lara Turek, executive director of development for the College of Engineering and Computing, has been named assistant vice chancellor for university advancement. She will begin her duties Monday, Nov. 27.
Turek will report to Tory Verkamp, vice chancellor for university advancement. She will provide leadership, direction and strategic vision for the department of development, a role critical to the success of the university’s next comprehensive campaign.
Before joining Missouri S&T, Turek led fundraising efforts at STAGES St. Louis and the Center of Creative Arts. She also served as the director of alumni relations at Webster University. She holds a master’s degree in management and leadership and a bachelor’s degree in dance performance from Webster University. She is a certified fund raising executive (CFRE).
