S&T Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Choir to perform Nov. 12

The S&T Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Choir will perform a fall concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, in Leach Theatre.

The Chamber Choir will perform two opera choruses, one from “The Bartered Bride” by Bedrich Smetana and the other from “La jolie parfumeuse” by Jacques Offenbach, along with two motets and a madrigal round. The Symphony Orchestra will perform “Dance Bacchanale” from Saint-Saens’ “Samson and Delilah” and both suites from Georges Bizet’s “Carmen.” The orchestra is also hosting London-based composer Peter Longworth and performing his musical postcard of New York City, “Manhattan Matins.”

Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth ages 18 and under and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Leach Theatre Box Office. Tickets can also be purchased online or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online.
