Simran Bhatia inspires leadership at University of Alabama

Simran Bhatia, senior organizational health education specialist in Student Well-Being at Missouri S&T, delivered a presentation on “Leading with Grit, Resilience, Emotional Intelligence, and Mentorship” to the undergraduate class at the University of Alabama at Birmingham on October 25. Her audience consisted of students from the management, information systems, and quantitative methods departments at the Collat School of Business.

Drawing on her knowledge as an industrial-organizational psychologist, Bhatia explored crucial aspects of leadership, emphasizing the roles of grit and resilience in self-leadership and leading others, the importance of emotional intelligence in fostering harmonious work environments, and the significance of mentorship in personal and professional growth.
