Staff Council raised $189 with its first chili cook-off competition with 10 entries during the fall Staff Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Congratulations to Joe Tupper, telecommunications support expert for information technology, who won the traditional chili category and Simone Waldon, manager of the Staff Success Center, who won the non-traditional category.

This year’s costume contest featured 29 entries. Winners received $25 gift cards provided by American Taco Company.

The winners for each category are:

Individual: Brooke Bell, advancement manager for alumni affairs and constituent relations, as a candy ’rapper.’

Pair: A mad scientist and Frankenstein by University Police staff, Amy Wallen, business support specialist, and Tanner Woody, operations support technician.
