Students to write and perform plays in 24 hours

Arts, languages, and philosophy will host its annual Overnight Theatre Festival performance at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in Leach Theatre.
The night before the festival, a group of students and guest artists will be given a genre, a theme and a line of dialogue that must be used in their new plays. The playwrights must write a 10-minute play by the next morning, to let the actors and directors have the rest of the day to rehearse before presenting the performances to a live audience.
