Students to write and perform plays in 24 hours

Arts, languages, and philosophy will host its annual Overnight Theatre Festival performance at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in Leach Theatre.
The night before the performance, a group of students and invited guest artists will be given a genre, a theme, and a line of dialogue. The playwrights must write a 10-minute play by Saturday morning, and then student actors and directors spend the rest of the day rehearsing each play before performing them in front of a live audience at 7 p.m. Saturday night. The performance is free and open to the public.
