The frontier of Space 2.0 holds great promise for scientific exploration, commerce, security, and technology. To fully realize its potential, we need a sustainable and resilient infrastructure to support space-based systems. Factories-in-Space (FiS) are critical for the servicing, assembly, and production of these systems.
The lecture, “In-space Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing: Factories-in-Space for Space 2.0,” will discuss the principles and design considerations underlying FiS. It takes place from 3-4 p.m. on Oct. 19. Located in the Hasselmann House Grand Hall.
