The campus community is invited to a poetry reading and open mic night at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the loft of Public House Brewing Co. in Rolla. The event will feature Dr. Aliki Barnstone, professor of English at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Poet Laureate of Missouri 2016-2019. Bring your own poems to share.
Barnstone is a poet, translator, critic, memoirist, editor and visual artist. She is the author of eight books of poetry, most recently, Dwelling published by Sheep Meadow Press in 2016. Her translation of Liana Sakelliou’s poetry collection Portrait Before Dark was published by St. Julian Press in 2022.
