Dr. Kathryn Huff, assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, will deliver a presentation at Missouri S&T focused on the role of nuclear power in the transition to clean energy and what DOE is doing to support this initiative.
Huff will speak remotely for the event, which will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, in Room B10 Bertelsmeyer Hall.
S&T’s student section of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) is sponsoring Huff’s discussion in conjunction with Nuclear Science Week, which runs from Oct. 16-20. The public is invited to attend. After Huff’s presentation, time is allotted for a question-and-answer session.
