Are you an aspiring entrepreneur? If yes, then the annual Startup Challenge at S&T is the perfect opportunity for you. The competition invites teams consisting of up to five students from any major to develop a strategy for their business idea.
This year, the competition promises to be even more exciting, with the chance for finalists to pitch their business model to a panel of judges comprising of academics and entrepreneurs for scholarship prize money. The winning team will be awarded $5,000, while second and third-place teams will receive $3,000 and $1,000, respectively. Whether you are a business major or not, this is your chance to showcase your entrepreneurial skills and win big. So, gather your team and get ready to participate in the Startup Challenge.
The Startup Challenge registration on MinerLink began on Friday, Sept. 8, and ends on Sunday, Oct. 1. An information session will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, located in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center.
Attending this session is mandatory for participants as it covers the important requirements of becoming an entrepreneur. Additionally, all participants are required to complete each of the learning modules by Friday, Oct. 13. The competition is sponsored by Kummer Student Programs and Career Opportunities and Employer Relations (COER).
