You are invited to join Missouri S&T as we kick off Manufacturing Day with a groundbreaking ceremony for the Missouri Protoplex at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5. When it opens in fall 2025, the Protoplex will anchor S&T’s planned manufacturing and innovation campus. The event is free and open to the public.
No parking is available at the groundbreaking site. Shuttle transportation will be provided to the Protoplex site north of Interstate 44 at Exit 185. The shuttle will depart between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. from campus lot M19, located near the intersection of North State Street and North Bishop Avenue. The ceremony will include remarks from Robin R. Wenneker, at-large member of the University of Missouri Board of Curators, University of Missouri President Mun Y. Choi, Chancellor Mo Dehghani and Kummer Institute Center for Advanced Manufacturing Director Richard Billo, who will oversee the Protoplex.
