Missouri S&T departments and student groups are invited to compete in the Mini-Float Parade Competition, a part of this year’s Celebration of Nations!
This Year’s Theme is “Wonders of the World,” with a registration deadline set for September 18th!
Floats must be “human-powered” (pulled in the parade) and parked in the designated display area after the parade for public viewing and voting for the People’s Choice Award.
All floats will be judged by a panel of judges, with prizes awarded in each category (K-12 school, commercial businesses, non-profit community organizations, university departments, and University student organizations) as well as a grand champion trophy.
The top float in these categories will receive $100 towards their organization’s account:
• University student organizations
• K-12 School entries
• Non-profit community organizations
The top float in these categories will receive a certificate:
• University departments
• Commercial businesses (ideally could partner as sponsors for one of the organizations)
There are Rolla community organizations willing to sponsor the supplies for the student organization float and provide build space to craft their entry.
