Do you have an interest in medical research? Dr. Kamal Khayat, vice chancellor for research and innovation, announces the availability of two $1,000 fellowships supported by the John W. Claypool Fund for Medical Research. Competition for the awards is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who perform medical research activities during the 2024 spring semester.

To apply, submit a two-page essay describing the proposed research and include the name of a faculty advisor to oversee the project. The faculty advisor should provide a brief recommendation letter. To apply, email your essay and recommendation letter with the subject John W. Claypool Fund for Medical Research to research@mst.edu by Monday, Oct. 16.

A final report of the research work, a minimum of five pages, should be submitted to the office of the vice chancellor for research and innovation by Friday, April 26, 2024. Fellowship funds will be applied to student accounts after the report has been accepted and before the end of the 2024 spring semester.
