What do you most enjoy about working at Missouri S&T?
I enjoy working with everyone here. The faculty, staff and students are so friendly and nice. I feel a real connection with everyone, and I enjoy coming to work every day and seeing everyone.
What is your proudest accomplishment while working here?
Recently, we completed our summer camp, and we had a picnic for everyone involved. It was such an awesome experience to see everyone smiling and having a good time. It lets you know that you had a positive impact on them.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a new CEC staff member?
Have patience. You are not expected to know everything on day one, and if you find yourself needing help, reach out. Everyone is here to help you, and they are here to help you succeed.
What advice would you have for a struggling student?
We really do want you to succeed, and it’s not easy to admit when you are struggling. You can reach out to faculty and staff, and they will work with you to help. We all care about you.
What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?
I was born in Pisa, Italy, and graduated from Moanalua High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. I also have two dogs (Luna and Aries), three cats (Bailey, Hallow and Kiki), and a bird (Homer).
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to talk to animals. I have plenty that I would like to talk to — and not just the ones in my own home.
