Introducing Staff Champions

Student well-being and the Staff Success Center are excited to introduce you to the 2023 Staff Champions. Champions are trained point-of-contacts for information and resources to support student, faculty, and staff mental well-being.

The goal of this program is to raise awareness of available resources and to guide students and colleagues to those resources. Champions are responsible for disseminating information about resources, sending reminders of mental well-being events, and answering faculty questions about resources.

The Staff Champions are:

  • Cheryl Ahrens, manager for information technology.
  • Kim Baker, advancement associate for advancement services.
  • Phyllis Blackwell, academic advisor for teacher education and certification.
  • Glenn Cargile, enrollment advisor for the registrar.
  • Mark Evans, business support specialist for student involvement.
  • Allison Gregory-Snyder, custodian for landscape and custodial services.
  • Chyna Howell, manager of the Student Success Center.
  • Sarah Johnson, office support assistant for the provost.
  • Christina Jones, business support specialist for student design and experiential learning.
  • Derek Lane, library information specialist for the library and learning resources.
  • Tonya Lane, office support assistant for chemical and biochemical engineering.
  • Stephanie Lewis, executive assistant for the College of Engineering and Computing.
  • Chana Moreland, business operations associate for student design and experiential learning.
  • Jason Newton, academic advisor for computer science.
  • Brittany Parnell, academic advisor for the S&T Advising Center.
