Sigma Pi fraternity’s Alpha Iota Chapter at Missouri S&T celebrated its 90th anniversary on Saturday, April 29. To commemorate the occasion, alumni events were held in St. Louis and Branson, Missouri. Since the chapter’s founding in 1933 when the university was known as the Missouri School of Mines, nearly 1,200 men have been initiated into the chapter.

Over the 90 years, four members have been honored with the Sigma Pi fraternity Founders’ Award, the highest honor the national fraternity bestows on exemplary alumni members of the organization. The undergraduate chapter has earned the fraternity’s Grand Council Award four times in the last 20 years. This award recognizes the top chapters nationwide within the fraternity for scholarship, philanthropy and service hours, and campus leadership.
