Writing Center to present at conference

Four S&T Writing Center consultants, including three students, will present at the Midwest Writing Center Association conference in March.  

The consultants presenting are:

  • Kira Courtois, a senior in English and Technical Communication.
  • Eileen Kordick, a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in English and Technical Communication, now working for Mastercard as a Release Writer/Content Analyst. 
  • Keillyn R. Johnson, a master’s student at S&T in Technical Communication. Keillyn graduated from S&T in December 2022 with bachelor’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and English and Technical Communication, with a minor in linguistics.
  • Phillip Bode, Writing Center Director.

Their presentation, titled, “We exist: Transforming perspectives of a STEM university writing center through (seemingly) any means necessary” will cover strategies and efforts writing centers can expand their services and communities served.
