Tickets are on sale now for the Missouri S&T student production of the musical “Broadbend, Arkansas.”

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9; Friday, March 10; and Saturday, March 11; with a matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12. All performances will be in the Black Box Theatre in Room 143 Castleman Hall.

“Broadbend, Arkansas” tells the story of an African American family who grapple with inequality,
violence and suppression in the South across three generations. The musical asks the audience to contemplate the cycle of violence in America and consider how to find hope and create change against the backdrop of racism. Act 1 “Just One Q” is written by Ellen Fitzhugh and Act 2 “Ruby” was written by Harrison David Rivers. Music and additional lyrics are by Ted Shen.
