Beth Nichols will join the S&T team as the director of graduate and international admissions Monday, April 10.
Nichols comes to S&T after serving as assistant director of chapter and corporate engagement at Missouri State University in Springfield. Before joining Missouri State University, she served as director of international admissions for approximately 10 years at Drury University. In that role, she oversaw international enrollment, government-sponsored programs, pipeline programs, memorandum of understanding agreements and marketing strategy for the international team.
Nichols began her professional career as an architect and urban designer before transitioning into a career in higher education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Drury University, then received a master’s degree in architecture and urbanism from the Architectural Association in London.
Nichols has lived and worked abroad in London, Hong Kong and Beijing. She also earned an MBA, master’s degree in education and master’s degree in civic and nonprofit leadership from Drury University.
Nichols was appointed by Springfield’s City Council to serve on the Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Development. She has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), in which she represented the best interests of abused and neglected children in court and she is a licensed foster parent for the Missouri Department of Social Services. She will complete the Greater Ozarks Leadership Development Program in May 2023.
