Message from Chancellor Mo Dehghani

Dr. Mo Dehghani, chancellor of Missouri S&T, sent the following email to staff, faculty and students this morning:
Dear Campus Community,
We are deeply saddened by the death of our own Eugene “Gene” Morton, a member of our custodial services staff. Gene worked for S&T off and on since 2011 and was well liked and highly regarded by many. We send our sincere condolences to Gene’s family, friends and loved ones.
Please know that we are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they investigate this case.
For members of the S&T community who wish to seek counseling or other assistance, services for employees are available via our Employee Assistance Program or any of the wellbeing resources available to employees. Students who wish to seek counseling services may contact student well-being by calling 573-341-4211 or by emailing wellbeing@mst.edu. Additional details are available at wellbeing.mst.edu.
