Dr. Jaya Ghosh will give the next biological sciences seminar, titled “Bridging the Translation Gap between Academic Research and Early-stage Product Development.” The seminar will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, in Room 126 Schrenk Hall.
Ghosh is director of University of Missouri-Columbia’s Coulter Biomedical Accelerator Program and lead program manager of the National Institutes of Health’s Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hub (REACH) Midwest Biomedical Accelerator Consortium (MBArC). This seminar is co-sponsored with the Center for Biomedical Research.
The programs Ghosh leads bridge the gap between academic research and industry by accelerating the translation of biomedical innovations into products that improve patient and health care. Ghosh is also a program manager of the NIH’s training program, named “Concept to Clinic: Commercializing Innovation Program.”
