Hilgers builds new graduate certificate for BIT

Dr. Mike Hilgers, professor of business and information technology, has built a new graduate certificate on business analytics and data science to be offered by business and information technology (BIT).
“He is an accomplished applied mathematician holding a Ph.D. from Brown University and is also an expert in computer programming,” says Dr. Cassie Elrod, BIT interim chair. “It is no surprise that with his expertise, the business analytics and data science program in BIT is ranked second in Best Big Data Degrees resting comfortably between Carnegie Mellon University (first) and Johns Hopkins University (third).”
