It’s time to schedule a mid-semester feedback session with the students in your course. The mid-semester feedback survey is a way to check in with students, see how they believe the semester is going, and discover any concerns they may have.
The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) will help set up and administer surveys for your courses.
Get more details or sign up for mid-semester feedback on the CAFE website.
Frequently asked questions about the mid-semester feedback:
- Who can request a mid-semester feedback?
Anyone teaching a class at Missouri S&T. - What questions are on the survey?
We have an essential set of questions that aligns with S&T’s course evaluation questions. We can also include questions you create that are unique for your class. - Are the result confidential?
Yes. Student responses to the survey are voluntary and anonymous. The collected results are confidential between the instructor and the CAFE staff. - What if I have questions about the results?
CAFE staff are happy to answer any questions. We are also happy to meet with you in person or virtually to discuss results and provide any suggestions if you wish. Consultations are entirely voluntary. - How is the survey made available to my students?
CAFE will create a Qualtrics survey specifically for your course and send you the URL to that survey. You can then make that URL available to your students.
