All S&T students are invited to learn more about the Miner Creativity Challenge at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Ozark Room of Havener Center. The competition is sponsored by the Kummer Institute, the Product Innovation and Creativity Center and the Center for Creativity and Innovation.
For this competition, undergraduate and graduate students form teams of three to five students. They will design and create a toy for seventh- and eighth-grade students, who, along with a panel of judges, will decide which team wins the $5,000, $3,000 and $1,000 cash prizes for first, second and third place, respectively.
To participate, teams must register by Wednesday, Feb. 1, and submit a proposal by Monday, Feb. 20. From those proposals, a review panel will select 10 finalists to participate in the competition.
