Dr. Julia Medvedeva, professor of physics and senior investigator of the Materials Research Center, participated in a two-day workshop, titled “Materials Research Laboratories of the Future.”
It was initiated by the Division of Materials Research of the National Science Foundation and held at the University of Chicago. The series of three NSF workshops have a goal of identifying the scientific and technological challenges to be solved in the next 10 years, as well as the needs and opportunities for the instrumentation, infrastructure and workforce development across the U.S. universities and national laboratories.
Medvedeva was one of 44 participants of the workshop comprised by the leading U.S. experts working in “Materials Development Continuum in Alloys, Amorphous and Composite Materials.”
