Dr. Fateme Rezaei, the Linda and Bipin Doshi Associate Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, and Dr. Busuyi Adebayo, a 2021 Ph.D. graduate in chemical engineering, recently published a paper in Chemical Engineering Science that has been selected as a runner-up for the 2022 Siemens PSE Model-Based Innovation Prize.

This award is given to only three papers annually and globally. Every year Siemens offers prizes totaling 5,000 euros for the best-published papers describing the use of the company’s gPROMS web application products in an innovative way or in a novel area of application or technology. The judges wrote about S&T’s paper: “it is nice work illustrating the use of gPROMS for the modeling, simulation and validation of a complex process to separate volatile organic compounds”.
