Pioneer award goes to Wunsch

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society announced that Dr. Donald Wunsch II, Mary K. Finley Missouri Distinguished Professor at S&T, has been selected to receive the 2023 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Neural Networks Pioneer Award with the citation “for contributions to unsupervised and reinforcement learning.”
On Dec. 1, Wunsch will become the inaugural director of the Kummer Institute Center for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems and director of the Applied Computational Intelligence Laboratory.
