Math, AI and biomedicine topics of two presentations

Dr. Guowei Wei

You are invited to attend two presentations by Dr. Guowei Wei, MSU Foundation Professor at Michigan State University. His expertise and presentations involve mathematics, artificial intelligence and biomedical background and research. He will present:

  • “How Math and AI are revolutionizing biosciences,” designed for a general audience, 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in the Carver-Turner Room of Havener Center. Refreshments will be served at 4:10 p.m.
  • “Mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 Evolution and Transmission,” 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the Carver-Turner Room of Havener Center. Refreshments will be served at 10:40 a.m.

Wei’s visit and talks are part of Missouri S&T mathematics and statistics department’s Ingram Lecture Series. The series is supported by an endowment created by W.T. (Tom) Ingram, professor emeritus and former department chair.
