The S&T Academy of Civil Engineers women and alumni invite all students to network and learn about the industry and the engineering profession 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Room 314 Butler-Carlton Hall. At noon the same day, S&T alumna, academy member, Miner Legend and Women’s Hall of Fame inductee LaWanda Jones will speak with all civil, architectural and environmental engineering seniors. Jones is a corporate marketing manager for ABNA Engineering Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Missouri S&T in 1991, an MBA from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2007 and a community development degree from Saint Louis University in 2008.
