Simone Waldon, strategic partner for human resources, has been named manager of the Staff Success Center. She officially begins in this role Tuesday, Nov. 1, and she will report to Cindi Nelson, director of human resources.

In 2020, Chancellor Dehghani requested that Staff Council create a center to help S&T staff with professional development. To aid in this charge, the position of Staff Success Center manager was created to focus on enriching the S&T experience by promoting employee retention and development.

Waldon has been with S&T since January 2017. She is a certified human resources professional and was selected to participate in the 2021-22 College and University Professional Association for Human Resources Wildfire program. This 12-month program connects a small, select group of early-career higher education human resource professionals with key leaders and learning opportunities. Her experience in the program helped further her interest in higher education and human resources. She is excited to step into this role and work with Staff Council to support our staff as well as onboard new staff.
