Pulitzer Prize-winning poet speaks Oct. 10

Dr. Rita Dove, Henry Hoyns Professor of creative writing at the University of Virginia, will read her poetry at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, Oct. 10, in Leach Theatre. The free event will include a reception with light refreshments and book signing immediately following Dove’s reading.
Dove is the first guest of the S&T Distinguished Literary Speakers Series hosted by the Center for Arts and Innovation. Her many accomplishments include a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and a stint as United States Poet Laureate.
